Darrin DeMale
-Principal
My name is Darrin DeMale and I am thrilled to begin my third year as Principal of Eastview Middle School.
I began my teaching career in Wolf Creek School Division (Mirror and then Lacombe) before moving to Red Deer in 2007. I have been an administrator with Red Deer Public for 16 years. I spent 5 years as Vice Principal of Lindsay Thurber before moving to Central Middle School and eventually as that school's principal for the last 10 years.
I hold a Managment and Education Degree from the University of Lethbridge and a Master's degree in Education Leadership from City University in Seattle. My wife Lisa and I have 5 children, who even though have all started their own lives outside of our home, still create plenty of excitement for us as we are a huge part of their lives. In my spare time I enjoy travelling, hiking, kayaking, biking and golfing.
I am looking forward to working with all of the staff, students & parents at Eastview to continue to build a culture which fosters student growth and success.
Mitch Irvine

My name is Mitch Irvine, and I am excited for another year at Eastview Middle School!
I started my teaching career in Edmonton at Harry Ainlay High School before moving back to Red Deer in 2012/2013. I have spent the majority of my career at the Middle School level and have recently just moved from Hunting Hills High School, where I was the Grade 12 Vice Principal.
I have a background in athletics and have been able to represent our country at an International level. I love education and hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree from the University of Alberta, as well as a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Lethbridge Graduate program.
My wife and I are a very busy with out two girls and love to spend our free time outside! I am an avid mountain biker, hiker and golfer in the summer and enjoy the mountains in the winter.
I love working with the incredible staff, students, and families at Eastview Middle School and look forward to a fantastic year ahead!
